This year SSD is handling Dietitian services entirely differently. Change is good, right?? Last year when Nathan started preschool, we were blessed to keep our Dietitian that had been seeing Nathan since he turned two because SSD contracted with her company. She came to our house for a monthly visit, weighed Nathan and helped me with his diet and feeding concerns. She was a HUGE help and we looked forward to our monthly visits!!
This school year, SSD has now hired a Dietitian for their staff and there are no more home visits. Everything is to be completed at the school. So this morning, I headed up to Ladue ECC to meet with Nathan's new Dietitian and other staff members to discuss Nathan and our concerns. All in all the meeting went well, except that I came away from it with more to do on my own and report back to them rather than the other way around. Hopefully, as the year continues this process will smooth over and more importantly Nathan will pack on the pounds and continue to make great progress with feeding!!
