We thought we had more time...

...before even contemplating locking the liquor cabinet!! Andrew has found yet another cabinet not for him. We thought giving him some of his "own" cabinets and drawers would work, but who wants more toys and bibs when you can have grown-up things?!?!

Andrew starting to reach for the bottles...

Got two!!

Andrew rearranging and organizing the bottles :)

Trying to block Andrew from getting in...don't you worry, he was able to get around the bar stool within just a few minutes!! Needless to say, we are going out TODAY to buy some gates and cabinet locks!!

Celebrating the Big 3-0!!

I am now officially in my thirties after celebrating with family and friends this past week. I took off work on my actual birthday and spent the day with Andrew. We had a great time playing in the morning and then met up with my friend, Mary Ann and her daughter, Ellie who treated us to lunch. Ellie & Andrew had a great time and were thoroughly entertained by the kitchen staff at 5 Guys. Then, we had a surprise visit from PaPa and spent a relaxing evening at home with Dad when he got home from work.

I was looking forward to a night out Friday with Steve...hardly did I know what was in store for me :) Steve surprised me with dinner with all my friends at Brio and then had everyone over to our house afterwards. We topped dinner off with an ice cream cake for dessert and jamming to Guitar Hero. This was my first time playing the ever-so-popular game and boy, did we make a lasting impression. Good thing we were all in the privacy of our home!!

I would like to thank everyone for making my 30th so special. First, to my wonderful husband for planning such a great surprise and pampering me with such beautiful flowers; to all of my friends, who made special plans to spend the evening celebrating with me; and finally to Gigi and PaPa who had a slumber party with Andrew and gave Mom & Dad the night and morning after off. You all are the best and I cannot thank you enough!!

Happy New Year!!

Steve, Andrew and I rang in the new year with some of our family. Most years (when we aren't on vacation), Steve's sister Marie and husband, John host a great New Year's Eve party!! It's perfect because we are able to put all the little ones down to sleep and then celebrate with just us adults. We hope everyone had a wonderful time celebrating and we wish everyone the very best in 2009!!
