Tonight, our family was presented with a HUGE gift!! Three of Steve's good friends from work stopped by to visit and make this very special delivery. Some of Steve's co-workers and guys he plays softball with formed a team on our behalf for a walk benefiting the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). Not only did they go through all of the work to create a team, but have already raised over $2,000 from the help of so many friends at Boeing!! Needless to say, we are simply overwhelmed by the generosity and support from our Boeing family. It means more to us than we can put into words.
And if that is not enough, we were also given a Weekend Get-a-Way package for Steve and I to use for ourselves. Between gift cards from a couples massage and a night's stay at the Ritz to fancy dining at Ruth's Chris and Cafe Napoli, we are set for some relaxation!! We really are still in shock from this overwhelming support and generosity. We cannot say thank you enough and know that we will put these gifts to great use. As I have said before, we are so blessed to have such wonderful friends who continue to take care of us.
We have a VERY LONG road ahead of us and this initial response is overwhelming. We know that we will be able to make this journey with all of our friends and family by our side.
