Our little construction worker

In the spirit of the construction at our house, Andrew decided to wear a hard hat one day playing. He kept putting it on and taking it off - I was able to actually get a picture with him wearing it.

Oceans of Fun!!

This morning Andrew and I headed up to Parkway's Early Childhood Center for an indoor pretend time of "beach play." It was a nice theme to brighten up this forever long winter!! They had a ton of activities for the kids - beach balls, sea shells, games, pools and lots of sand and water :) Andrew had a great time and we can't wait for the warm weather to come for REAL!!

Andrew caught a fish!!

Hitting the beach balls.

Only Andrew would notice a ball under a cone and have to get it :)

Touching and scoping out the star fish.

Took a break and read some "beach" themed books.

Napping at Grandma's

We have been living with Grandma and Pops for the past few weeks while our house is under some construction. Andrew LOVES playing here with all the different toys. It didn't take him long to become attached to a baby doll - Steve is so proud!! Andrew does everything to his baby that I do with Nathan - it is really funny to watch him pretend play. Here's a picture of Andrew sound asleep with his babies and balls :)

Nathan's Birthday Party (1 of 2)

We had a little party for Nathan this weekend limited to a small number of family due to this never-ending cold and flu season. We are looking forward to the warm weather so we can celebrate Nathan's homecoming and birthday with a bang with ALL of our family and friends :) Here are some pics of our little guy celebrating his big day...

Happy 1st Birthday, Nathan!!

One year ago today, our little angel Nathan surprised us all with his delivery into this world. We cannot believe a year has already gone by and are so thankful to be celebrating this day with our little miracle. This has been one of the most challenging years in more ways than one and Nathan has remained the strongest of the Vehige family surpassing every hurdle that has come his way. Although Nathan has a very long road ahead of him with more obstacles to overcome, we know he will continue to put up a fight and never give up. Nathan is a blessing to all of us and has touched everyone that he meets. We look forward to another year of Nathan's continued progress and development. We love you more than anything sweetheart and wish you the happiest of first birthdays!!

Relaxing with the kiddos

Superbowl Sunday we stayed home with the kiddos and hung out with Uncle Todd and Aunt Laura. This was Aunt Laura's first time meeting Nathan. Before the festivities began, Steve and I were just relaxing with the boys...

Bouncing with my boys on Nathan's therapy ball.

All or Nothing

When Andrew decides to clean up his toys, it is all or nothing. The other day he was busy at work cleaning off his train table so we would have room to build another train track together. This is how he decided to put his toys away...

He tipped over his chair in the corner to stack all his toys.

Andrew's organizational skills first hand - he was so proud of himself.

And the completely empty train table :)

Welcome Home Uncle Todd & Aunt Laura!!

Uncle Todd and Aunt Laura made it safely back to St. Louis from Jacksonville!! We are so happy to have them home for the next three years :) Todd has been gone for almost 18 years and it's great to have all of us together again (and not just for the holidays). Todd and Laura have an exciting year ahead of them and we wish you the very best - we love you!!
