This past year was especially rough on us with Andrew being diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Andrew didn't let this slow him down at all and has kept Steve and I from dwelling on this horrible diagnosis. He has taught us to live in the moment and never give up. Andrew is one of the hardest workers I know, right next to his little brother. He pushes through with everything asked of him and is so proud of his accomplishments, as are we. We are so blessed to have this little boy in our lives and every single day he makes us better. Happy 5th Birthday, Andrew!! We love you more than the whole wide world - to the moon and back :)
Andrew woke up this morning ready to open all of his presents and THEN celebrate with donuts for breakfast!!
Andrew opening one present after another.
Our Iron Man :)
Still going...
So excited for his OWN transformer!!
We spent the rest of the day literally playing with each and every one of his new toys. I had a hard time keeping up with Andrew - he was so excited!! He LOVED everything and it's nice to have different things to build, race, play and even stomp on :)
Andrew got to pick what he wanted for his birthday dinner. We for sure thought we would be heading out to Red Robin since Chick-fil-a is closed on Sundays, but he didn't want to leave the house and miss out playing with all of his new toys!! He chose to order Chinese and eat in - LOVE this kid!!
